Betty Williams Fields passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, after many years of declining heath.
A visitation will be held at Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534 on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Gravesite burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park 2925 U.S. 17 South, Dudley, N.C., 28333 with Pastor Jeff Dail of Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church officiating.
Betty was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Mount Olive, N.C., to the late Robert and Thelma Williams. She is also preceded in death by husband, Nathaniel Fields of Kinston, N.C.; brother, Murray Carol Williams of Mount Olive, N.C.; and grandson, Daniel Livingston (Chip) Stallings Jr. of New Bern, N.C.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Jean Fields Money and her husband, Richard L. Money, of Greensboro, N.C., and Louise Fields Stallings of New Bern, N.C.; her grandchildren, Michelle L. Nelson and husband, Mark, of Clayton, N.C., William R. Leggett III and wife, Leathy, of McLean, Va., Holli S. Quinn and husband, Jeff, of New Bern, N.C., Rick Money of Winston-Salem, N.C., Donald Money and wife, Melissa, and Michael Money and wife, Maria, of Greensboro, N.C.
Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Syd Bryce and Cooper Nelson of Clayton, N.C., Olivia, Keenan and Landon Leggett of McLean, Va., Trey and Sam Quinn of New Bern, N.C., Winter Money of Hertford, N.C., Eddie Cristobal of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Rebecca, Paige and Freddie Money of Greensboro, N.C. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Mamie Lou Whitted and husband, Leslie Ray, and Gayle Kabes and husband, Tom, all of Mount Olive, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, Greensboro, N.C., 27262, or to the donor's choice in memory of Betty Williams Fields.
