ADLI LEE PATE JR.

Adli Lee Pate Jr., 83, passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Adli Lee Pate Sr. and Edith Jones Pate, and the widower of Shirley Lewis Pate.
Lee was well known in the Pikeville community for the many years he was co-owner of Pate Service Station with his brother R. D. Pate. He was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church, and was an avid outdoorsman, and had a love of bird hunting.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Rose Hicks officiating. Internment will follow in the Pikeville Cemetery.
Surviving is his daughter, Jayne Pate of Wilmington.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melody Pate Robb and his son, Adli Lee Pate III.
