JUNE BIBB HOOD

June B. Hood, 88, died Thursday at Mount Olive Center.
Born in Charlottesville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Edith Harlow Bibb.
She was the wife of the late Dillon Morris Hood after 43 years of marriage.
She spent most of her adulthood in North Carolina, where she retired civilian employment at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base as a keypunch operator, and eventually settled in Dudley, N.C., where she was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park, with pastor Richard Toler officiating.
The family will visit with family and friends following the service at the gravesite.
June leaves behind her son, Stephen Harlow of Dudley; her daughter, Tammy Hood; and two grandchildren, Abby Woodard and Greg Stevens.
She also leaves two brothers, Freddie Bibb and Donald Bibb of Charlottesville; and many nieces and nephews; as well as dear friend, Winnie Kessler; and special cousin, Mary Ballard.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bryant Bibb, and dear friend, Edith Finlay.
