MARY NELL LUTZ HANSEN

Mary Nell Lutz Hansen, 93, Goldsboro, died peacefully at her residence Sunday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson Ave. Committal will follow at the church columbarium. The Rev. Alex Gonzalez will officiate.
Following the committal, the family will hold a social gathering.
Surviving are her husband Charles "Chuck" Hansen; daughters, Katherine Adolph (Peter) of New Bern and Mary Jane Brady of Denver, Colo.; sons, Matthew E. Hansen (Mary O'Conner) of Milford, Conn., James C. Hansen (Jean Nyquist) of Denver, Colo., and Thomas W. Hansen (Nora) of St. Paul, Minn.; brothers, Robert Lutz (Kathryn) of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Pratt Lutz (Elfi) Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Joann Meredith (Sam) of San Francisco, Calif., and Carol Witmer of New Holland, Pa.; and four grandchildren, A. J. Adolph, Mary Brady, Joseph Brady and Michael Hansen.
She was a native of Canton, Miss., and was preceded in death of her parents, Nell Walker Lutz and Victor Pratt Sylvester Lutz; her sister, Sister Helen Marie; and her granddaughter, Sarah Brady.
Mary Nell was a social worker for Episcopal Child Services of Goldsboro, N.C.
She was a Masters Social Work graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Bachelor of Social Work at Mississippi State College for Women.
Arrangements are with Evergreen Funeral Home.
