MARGARET B. PATE

Margaret Basden Pate, 73, Goldsboro, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born in Duplin County, N.C., on March 17, 1943, to the late Frank Basden and Dollie Whaley Basden. She was married to the late Coor D. Pate.
Margaret was retired from R. G. Barry. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Margaret is survived by her son, Corbett Pate and wife, Deena, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Christina McKamey and husband, Josiah, Samantha Pate and Jordan Pate and wife, Ashley; and her great-grandchildren, Ainlsey McKamey, Gannon McKamey, Waylon Pate and Khloee Tapley.
She is also survived by brother, John Basden; and a special sister-in-law, Arwilda Pate.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Pate.
