Maxine Faye Phillips Strickland, 70, Kenly, died Thursday at home.
Funeral was 5 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Sutphin, the Rev. Joseph Woodard and Chad Strickland officiating. Burial will be private at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Born May 9, 1946, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Addie Mae Woodard Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Strickland of the home; two sons; and a daughter.
