Joseph Fredrick Hinnant Sr., 82, of Kenly died Sunday at his home.
He was born in Johnston County on July 29, 1934, to the late Joe and Flora Fitzgerald Hinnant. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine "Jerrie" Hinnant.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with the Rev. Aubrey Williamson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Kenly Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Barefoot Hinnant, and one son.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service and at other times at his home.
