Brenda Strickland Davis, 69, Pikeville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Brenda was born in Johnston County Sept. 23, 1947, to the late Barden and Estelle Parrish Strickland.
She had worked for more than 35 years as a customer service representative with Wachovia Bank, and later worked for five years with Skill Creations in Goldsboro.
Brenda was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church.
She was a generous and gracious woman. Brenda will be remembered for the love and laughter that she shared during her well-lived life.
A service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Grant officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
Interment will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
Brenda is survived by her sister, Polly McCall and husband, Robert, of Morehead City, and a special niece, Lisa Lewis and husband, Dennis, of Pikeville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Davis, and sister, Carol Gardner.
