David Lee Scorese, 68, Pikeville, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro with military honors to follow.
Mr. Scorese was born in New Jersey Dec. 16, 1947.
He was retired from the United States Navy, and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Moran Scorese; father, Pat Scorese and wife, Jean, of New Jersey; two daughters, Aimee and Rebecca Scorese; four stepchildren; a host of brothers, sisters and grandchildren; beloved friends, Donald and Rose Wolfe of Pikeville; and many others.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Plumber Scorese.
Professional services have been entrusted to Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
