MARY E. CADORETTE

Mary E. (Gammon) Cadorette, 92, Florence, Mass., passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Care One at Northampton.
She was born in Norway, Maine, Sept. 21, 1924, to the late Urshal and Elizabeth (Drew) Gammon.
Mary had attended school in Norway, Maine, and graduated from Norway High School.
She was a veteran of the United States Navy, and saw active duty during World War II.
Though Mary worked for several years at Sears and Roebuck as a credit representative, her primary life focus was as a loving mother, wife and good friend to countless.
In addition, Mary volunteered extensively for her church and with youth groups while living in Agawam, Mass., during the middle 1950s to the late 1970s.
She spent much of her retirement years living in Goldsboro, N.C., where she actively participated in Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, working with senior citizens in the community.
Mary is survived by her devoted son, Laurence Cadorette and his partner, Elaine Kersten, of Florence, Mass.; her older brother, Alan Gammon; a younger brother, Dick Gammon; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Rene; her sister, Eilene; and her brother, Urshal Gammon.
Per Mary's request, there will be no calling hours or services.
She will be interred alongside her husband, Rene, at Arlington National Cemetery.
Drozdal Funeral Home of Northampton is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, Mary would wish that you spread as much kindness and affection as you can.
