Mr. Charles Austin Raynor, 79, 405 Underwood St., passed away Friday, Nov. 4, at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove, with the Rev. Daniel Cince officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Barbara Gray, 3188 Hunter Road, Clinton.
Mr. Raynor a native of Sampson County, was the son of the late Lloyd and Austin Raynor and Julia Howell Raynor.
He attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and was retired with 30 years of service from Faircloth Contraction Co. as the office manager and later with Edge Cabinet Co.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha Clark Raynor; daughter, Kathy Raynor Wood (John) of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Jennifer Reeves (John) and Galaiah Wood; great-grandson, Jack Reeves; sister, Betty Murphy (Clayton) of Faison; brother, Faison Harold Raynor of Newton Grove; several nieces and nephews; and his pal "Emma."
