LEON FRANKLIN "FRANK" JONES

Leon Franklin "Frank" Jones, 93, died Tuesday morning in Wilmington.
Born in Princeton, N.C., he was the son of the late Joe and Clider S. Jones, and was the husband of the late Estelle Tillman.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glen Phillips and the Rev. Kenny Chin officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Frank was a member of First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, and also attended Northside Church in Wilmington, Masonic Lodge No. 634, Goldsboro York Rite Bodies, Wayne Shrine Club and Sudan Temple Shrine in New Bern, N.C.
He had also been a former member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139 and an avid supporter of the American Diabetes Association.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Tammy J. Boswell and her husband, Bobby, of Wilmington and Rhonda J. Strickland of Wilmington.
Rhonda's husband, Keith Strickland, preceded Frank in death.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jeremy Strickland, Jason Strickland and wife, Yancy, Jamie Lyons and husband, Jay, and Alex Speight, and two great-grandchildren.
