Alton Craven "Snooky" Grady, 76, Princeton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at his home.
Snooky was born in Wayne County Sept. 20, 1940, to the late Ludy Grady and Lina Mae Lee Wellons.
He had recently retired from Wrights Building Specialties in Garner.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Princeton Cemetery. The family will also greet friends Saturday following the graveside service at his home.
Snooky is survived by his wife, Joyce Pearce Grady; children, Debra Joyce Fox, Donald Craven Fox, Jeanette Darlene Chanin, Tonya Bullock and April Grady; stepson, Gerald James Fox; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Wanda Jo Daniels of Goldsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Dana Faye Fox.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the charity of one's choice.
