MARGARET JERNIGAN WALL

Margaret Jernigan Wall, 94, Goldsboro, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, in Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Margaret was born in Wayne County May 19, 1922, to the late David Henry Jernigan and Lucy Ella Whitfield Jernigan.
She lived her life with dignity, grace and determination.
Margaret retired from Montgomery Ward having worked as bookkeeper for 38 years.
She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Goldsboro for 68 years. There she taught Sunday school for 50 years, served as president of the Women's Auxiliary and chairman of Ruth Rebekah Circle and participated in the ladies prayer breakfast.
In the community, she served as president of the American Business Women's Association, and was voted Woman of the Year.
Also, Margaret was a member of Lamplighters Extension Homemakers.
She was married to the late Raby Sigma Wall for 43 years.
She shared a loving relationship with Sig's daughter, Dorothy Wall Beard of Lexington, Ky.
Margaret was thankful to all the people who helped her when she could no longer see. Special thanks to Margaret Teal, Peggy King, Lanny Lochart, Betty Watson, Karen Ernest and many others.
Her family members were devoted and dear to her until the end.
Her faithful dog, Mysty, brought her much love and companionship.
Margaret is survived by her sisters, Doris Jernigan Ellis and Shirley Jernigan Deal, and brothers, Marvin Henry Jernigan and Jimmy Robert Jernigan.
Her sister, Helen Garner, preceded Margaret in death.
