Rose Vinson Ricks Hare, 77, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Rose was born in Wayne County July 1, 1939, to the late Jeff and Rosa Lee Vinson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, C.C. Ricks and Kenneth Hare.
Rose enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends.
Her most significant role in life, and what she did best, was being a loving wife and mother, and best friend to her daughter, Melody.
A service celebrating Rose's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at the funeral home.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Melody Rose Ricks, and several nieces whom she loved very dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Wayne County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
