Ronald Shane Kendall, 54, Goldsboro passed away suddenly Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, N.C.
Ron was born in Spain Aug. 1, 1961, to Ruth Tonkin Kendall and the late Howard Kendall.
He was a food and nutrition supervisor at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was also a server at Western Sizzlin Steak House.
Ron enjoyed running with the Trifectas Team.
He was a member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
A service to celebrate Ron's life will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Whitfield officiating.
In addition to his mother, Ron is survived by his wife, Lisa Goff Pate; daughters, Crystal Lane Smith and husband, Paul, of Goldsboro and Kelsey Pate Blalock and husband, Brooks, of Goldsboro; sons, Ronald Jackson Kendall of Goldsboro and Jonathan Pate and wife, Samatha, of Pikeville; and his grandchildren, Savannah Smith, Hunter Smith, Jaydi Blalock, Kendall Blalock, Gavin Blalock and Ayden Pate.
He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Hill of Grantham and Diane Kendall of Goldsboro, and his brothers, Russell Kendall and wife, Louise, of Phoenix, Ariz., Robert Kendall of Goldsboro, Richard Kendall and wife, Pam, of Goldsboro and Roger Kendall and wife, Kim, of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Goldsboro Family Y, 1105 Parkway Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at the church.
