CAROLYN ANNETTE BASS CAPPS

Carolyn Annette Bass Capps, 68, passed away Thursday morning, June 16, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Bass was born March 25, 1948, in Wayne County to the late Joseph and Velma Bass.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sherry Kidder and husband, Dan, Sheila Griffin and husband, Jeffrey, and Kimberly Riggs and husband, Randy; one son, Clifton Dwayne Bass; stepson, Kevin Capps and wife, Stephanie; two brothers, Dwight Bass and wife, Sylvia, and Dale Bass and wife, Lynn; one sister, Sandye Sparks and husband, Jim; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifton Jessie Bass and Bobby Gene Capps, and one brother, Ernie Bass.
Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at 102 Stewart Ave. in Pikeville.
