LLOYD J. ROLLINS
July 27, 1933-April 27, 2016
Lloyd J. Rollins, 82, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday evening at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston.
Lloyd was born in Wayne County July 27, 1933, to the late Lloyd and Maude R. Rollins.
He retired from Ernest Glass Co.
Lloyd loved Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, and was a dedicated and faithful member.
He had a large extended circle of church friends in the Friendship Sunday School Class, where he had served as their president, and they were all very special to him.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home Sunday, May 1, 2016, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Lloyd's life at 4 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Barry Williamson officiating. Interment will conclude the service in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Mary Alice "Bonnie" Rollins; son, Danny Rollins and wife, Tanya; grandsons, George Alexander Rollins and Nathaniel Lloyd Rollins; brothers, Joseph W. Rollins and James T. Rollins; and several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his stepson, Martin Earl Sasser and wife, Pat; daughter-in-law, Loretta Sasser; and stepgrandson, Zachary Sasser.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert N. Rollins, Albert M. Rollins and Willie M. Rollins; sisters, Edna Wells, Lillie M. Parrucci and Rachel M. Moore; and his stepson, Benjamin Neal Sasser.
