ISABELLE THOMPSON CARROLL

Isabelle "Dodie" Thompson Carroll, 97, Goldsboro, died Thursday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Dodie was born and reared in the Grantham community by her parents, the late John and Dessie Thompson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Millard Hubert Carroll; brothers, Hubert, Sam and Donald Thompson; and sisters, Vivian Thompson and Edna Lee.
She is survived by daughters, Geraldine Brown (Gerald) and Joyce Parks (Elton) of Goldsboro.
Dodie is also survived by three grandchildren, Kenneth Parks (Glenda), Michael Parks (Danette) and Caroline Brown; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Bailey Parks and Jacob and Adam Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, by her grandson, The Rev. Michael Parks.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, Joyce Parks, 1498 Mark Edwards Road, Goldsboro.
Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
