WILLIAM RAY HAMILTON

William Ray Hamilton, 73, died Saturday evening at his home. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late William H. and Vivian Parnell Hamilton and was the husband of Betty Ann Smith Hamilton.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Pastor John Earnest officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Ray was self-employed as a paint contractor and attended Family of Faith Church.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Wayne and Chastity Hamilton of Goldsboro, David Leroy and Suzanne Hamilton of Goldsboro and William Johnny and Cristy Hamilton of Goldsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Ray and Paul Tripp of Goldsboro; two brothers, Roger Lee Hamilton and Michael Henry Hamilton; two sisters, Beulah Carol Williams and Ruth Ann Palazzo; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are with Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
