Eleanora Gertrude Kleinert Head, Grantham, passed away from this world into eternal rest Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She was 99 years old.
Eleanora was born in the city of Goldsboro to the late Augustus Gustave Kleinert and Lou Ellen Smith Kleinert.
Eleanora was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul Norwood Head, and also by her two daughters, Erlene Bryan and husband, Luby Bryan, and son, Byron Bryan, and daughter, Barbara Dunbar.
She is survived by her two sons, Eugene Head and wife, Linda, and Norwood Head and wife, Jane; son-in-law, Earl Dunbar; sister-in-law, Louise Sasser; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Paul Bryan and wife Gina, (Luke and Jonathan), Al Dunbar, Rhonda Hartley, Keith Head, Kim Head, Emily Brock and husband, Dean, (Kara), Wesley Head and wife, Hailey, (Elizabeth); and stepgranddaughter, Mindi Schedel and family.
Eleanora's love for church, family and friends was evident to all who knew her as she visited as much as she could, and many times her visit was highlighted with one of her delicious lemon pies.
A service celebrating Eleanora's life will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with her pastor, the Rev. Patrick Muston, officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
Interment will be Monday, April 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
