PEGGY MITCHELL WILLIAMSON

Peggy Mitchell Williamson, 82, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Wake Med.
She was born July 19, 1933, in Wake County to the late Rudolph Wayne Mitchell Sr. and Lillian Lloyd Mitchell.
Peggy was a graduate of Wendell High School in 1954.
She worked as a quality inspector at Glaxo for 15 years.
As long as her health permitted, she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Peggy was faithful to her family and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at Corinth Baptist Church, 13450 N.C. 96, Zebulon, 27597, with the Rev. Ricky Anderson and the Rev. Will Abernethy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545, and other times at the home, 6014 Applewhite Road, Wendell, 27591.
Surviving are sons, John Graham Williamson Jr. (Carol) of Wendell and Thomas Kent Williamson (Phyllis) of Knightdale; daughter, Wanda Kaye Williamson Smith (J.T.) of Goldsboro; grandchildren, John Scott Williamson (Elizabeth), Jenny Lynn Ivansek (Mark), Nathan Williamson, Jay Smith (Rondi) and Justin Smith; great-granddaughter, Leah Ruth Ivansek; and sister, Joe Ann Mitchell Horton (Waverly) of Wendell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Graham Williamson Sr., June 30, 1998; granddaughter, Holly Renee Williamson, Aug. 25, 1990; and brothers, Wayne and Roy Harold Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church General Fund.
