TIMOTHY W. EDWARDS
Jan. 31, 1963-Feb. 2, 2016
Timothy Wade Edwards, resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, while being cared for at Duke Hospital. He was 53 years of age.
Tim, a vendor with Neese's Sausage with more than 20 years of service, enjoyed being with people. He liked to joke around and have fun, and his aggravating nature that he had with kids endeared him to them even more.
Most especially, he enjoyed time spent with Hayden, his grandson.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Brittany Edwards of Goldsboro; his son, Tyler Edwards of Mount Olive; his grandson, Timothy Hayden Faulk of Goldsboro; his mother, Peggy Holloman Edwards of Mount Olive; three sisters, Edna Edwards of Mount Olive, Sandra Edwards of Goldsboro and Lynn E. Jordan and husband, Kevin, of Mount Olive; two nieces, Amanda Knowles and Lauren Jordan; and a great-nephew, Landon Knowles.
His father was the late Esthel Wade Edwards.
Tim's life will be remembered in a funeral service to be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lee Britt officiating, followed by burial in Holloman Cemetery behind the family residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times, friends and relatives may call at the residence.
Flowers may be sent or memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105, with the hope that it will bring happiness and hope to children in need.
A Tyndall service.
