Patty Flowers Davis, 76, of LaGrange passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Patty was born in Wayne County on Jan. 14, 1940 to the late Robert Lee Flowers and Ada Raynor Flowers. She had worked for many years in the dry cleaning industry. Patty was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever-present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life. She was deeply devoted to her family and was happiest when she was spending time in family gatherings, fishing or while spending time at the Pamlico River. Patty will always be loved by her family and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service celebrating Patty's life at 7 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Reynolds Smith officiating. The family will gather on Thursday, at 11 a.m. for a graveside service at the Davis Family Cemetery.
Patty is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Earl Davis; children, William Coker Davis, Marsha Sewell and husband, Johnny, and Danny Harold Davis and fiancée, Stella Smith; grandchildren, Tennille Walker and husband, Steven, Tracy Holland and wife, Christal, Ashlee Enhert, Stacy Sherman, Lisa Hart and husband, Justin, Dava Cruse and Kristen Williams; and great-grandchildren, Braxton, Austin, Lilli, Ava, Justin, Peyton, Ethan, Dylan, Taylor, Tyler, Kayden and Kayleb. She is also survived by her sister, Brunetta Flowers Bradshaw; brother, Jimmy Harold Flowers and wife, Tammy; sister-in-law, Verna Flowers; and a special friend, Jeanette Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ward Flowers.
