CHARLIE RAY MARSHALL

Mr. Charlie Ray Marshall, 88, Goldsboro, passed away Jan. 12, 2016, at Genesis Nursing Home in Mount Olive.
Born July 30, 1927, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Harvey and Elsie Weaver Marshall.
He was a graduate of North Carolina State University, and served his country in the United States Navy serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.
He was employed at Borden Manufacturing in Goldsboro as vice president of manufacturing, retiring from there in 1993.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Rena Osborne Marshall; daughter, Deborah Marshall Heath (Troy) of Kannapolis; and sons, Timothy Ray Marshall (Alice) of Statesville, Randy Eric Marshall (Deneen) of Apex and Bryan Keith Marshall of Four Oaks, N.C.
Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Darren, Melissa, Laura, Christopher, Carrie-Louise, Erica and Matthew, and his great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon and Alivia.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, with the Rev. R.J. Hammond, minister.

Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in Landis is serving the family.
