BETTY H. SMITH

Betty Hill Smith, 82, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Kirby Leo Hill and Lora Elizabeth Smith Hill, and wife of the late Bill Smith.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Major Steven Smith.
Betty was a member of Pineview Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Smeltzer officiating. Burial followed in Smith Family Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her sons, Cameron Smith, Keith Smith and his wife, Vickie, and Ricky Smith; four grandchildren, Melissa Goodfellow and husband, Gary, Keith Smith II, Lora Beth Smith and Jason Phelps; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kylie and Kristen Goodfellow.
