VELBURN RAY BREWER SR.

Velburn Ray Brewer Sr., 70-year-old resident of Faison, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Dec. 8, on the family farm.
A retired supervisor at Cates Pickle Co., he had served for 21 years with Faison Fire Department, was a member of Faison Baptist Church and was a true cowboy and farmer at heart with a great fondness for his livestock and cattle.
His life will be remembered in a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Faison Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Ashley Summerlin and the Rev. Andy Beard.
Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home Friday night, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times, family and friends are welcome to call at the residence.
Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fla., 33607.
Velburn is survived by his wife, Patricia Smith Brewer; his daughter, Stephanie Brewer; his son and daughter-in-law, Velburn Ray Brewer Jr. and Tina L. Brewer; two granddaughters, Morgan Ann-Marie Brewer and Madison Rae Brewer all of Faison; and several cousins.
