Ruby Lee Howell, 63, passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 9, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Burial will follow at Upper Black Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell was born July 19, 1952, to the late Raymond and Ruth Evans.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Howell; son, Edward Gurganus and wife, Lawana, of Pikeville; and four sisters, Linda Holland, Dale Best, Mae Williamson and Joyce Grice and husband, Keith.
Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Evans, and a sister, Melissa Tucker.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, Dec. 10, 2015, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont.
