RALPH L. MEASLEY

Ralph Luby Measley, 86, LaGrange, peacefully passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Ralph was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Lenoir County to the late Luby and Ada Stroud Measley.
A lifelong farmer, Ralph had a passion for hard work and the life of a farmer. He enjoyed country music, westerns and horses, and most of all, cherished time spent with his family.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
Ralph is survived by four children, Beth Measley Shirley and husband, Burney, of LaGrange, Luby Measley and wife, Jan, of Kinston, Jeff Measley and wife, Lynn, of Goldsboro and Phillip Measley of LaGrange; two grandchildren, Chrissie Bates of Winterville and Matthew Measley of LaGrange; and a great-grandchild, Abby Bates.
Ralph was preceded in death by a special daughter-in-law, Lynn Mozingo Measley.
Ralph's family will receive friends Wednesday following the graveside service.
