THOMAS SMOTHERS

Thomas Smothers, 68, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Thomas was born in Mechanicsville, Iowa, March 13, 1947, to the late Lowell and Patricia McNamara Smothers.
He was a married to the late Marlys Mae Smothers, who preceded him in death Feb. 13, 2008.
Thomas retired from the United States Air Force, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.
Thomas is survived by his sons, Todd James "T.J." Smothers and wife, Amy, of Goldsboro and Troy Michael Smothers and wife, LaDelle, of Goldsboro; five grandchildren, Tiffanie Gay and husband, Robert, Lowell Smothers, Zachary Smothers, Landon Smothers and Alyssa Smothers; and two great-grandchild, Hanna and Ryan Gay.
He is also survived by his brother, J.J. Smothers, and sister, Karen Bachman both of Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Thomas' memory to the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
