JESSE G. PRESNELL JR.

Jesse Guy Presnell, Jr., 86, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Guy retired from Carolina Power and Light Co. after 35 years of service.
He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and was past Master of the Wayne Masonic Lodge No. 112 A.F. & A.M. Guy proudly served his country in the United States Army.
A service celebrating Guy's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Adam Seate officiating.
Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Loves Creek Church Cemetery at Siler City.
Guy is survived by his son, G. Michael Presnell and wife, Ginny, of Harrisburg, and two grandchildren, Dr. Allison Presnell of Raleigh and Christopher Presnell of Chapel Hill; sisters, Sadie Presnell and Midge Presnell of Deep Gap; and sister-in-law, Starla Presnell of Lynn Haven, Fla. He is also survived by a very special friend, Evelyn Pate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Guy Presnell Sr.; wife, Ann Moses Presnell; sisters, Jean Prickett and Eula Hunley; and brothers, Jimmy Presnell and Pete Presnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine St., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
