Bettie Jean Keen, 52, Dudley, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Bettie Jean was born in Wayne County July 21, 1962, to Julia Thornton Keen of Dudley and the late Lebern William Keen.
She retired as office manager of Med Stat.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Bettie Jean's life at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with pastor Josh Clark officiating.
Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to her mother, Bettie Jean is survived by her sisters, Judy Pearce and husband, Freeman, of Dudley and Theresa Ann Keen of Dudley; brother, Buddy Keen and wife, Donna, of Rosewood; lifelong friend, Glenda Walters and husband, Andy, of Rosewood; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the home of Freeman and Judy Pearce, 609 Outlaw Road, Dudley, N.C.
