Mr. William Atkinson "Pro," 66, 701 Deveraux St., Goldsboro, passed Friday, June 19, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, N.C.
The celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at noon at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Denmark St., Goldsboro, N.C. He will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro.
There will be a visitation held Tuesday, June 23, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m., with the family arriving to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Holy Ghost Drawing Center Church, 607 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, N.C.
He was born Nov. 22, 1948, in Wayne County to Willie Lee "Buck" Atkinson and Geraldine Cox Atkinson.
He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Cox Atkinson of Goldsboro; two sisters, Evelyn A. Starkie and Debora A. Sinclair, both of Goldsboro; one brother, Byron (Evangeline) Atkinson of Raleigh; four aunts, Essie Cox, Mary (Herman) Edwards, Sarah (David) Frazier and Alice Atkinson all of Goldsboro; one uncle, Raymond (Geraldine) Atkinson of Goldsboro; one great-aunt, Daisy Coley of Goldsboro; and a special sister-in-law, Wilma F. Atkinson of Goldsboro.
