ADDIE S. KILLETTE
Jan. 23, 1925-April 29, 2015
Addie Smith Killette, 90, LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at her home.
Addie was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Greene County to the late Guy T. Smith and Alice Wells Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Reece Killette.
Addie will be remembered for her unconditional love as a wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit and soul, her graciousness, her hospitality and her gift of finding joy in helping others.
Family was paramount to Addie, and she relished her role as matriarch of the family.
Her faith in God guided her through life, and she loved worshiping God at her church, Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church.
At home, Addie enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden.
A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with pastor Wayne Brown and pastor Johnny Pike officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Addie is survived by two daughters, Alice Faye Skinner and husband, Bobby, and Gloria Anderson and husband, J.P.; five grandchildren, Teresa Sutton and husband, Mike, Marsha Hart, JoAnn Letchworth and husband, Charles, Amy Delia and husband, Jeff, and Scott Anderson and wife, Nichole; six great-grandchildren, Matthew Sutton and wife, Casey, Jason Rose and wife, Nicole, Brianna Rhodes, Heather Faulkner, Jake Faulkner and Colin Anderson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Jason Connor Rhodes, Tristan Rhodes and Jaelyn Rhodes.
In addition to her parents and husband, Addie was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Hill, and a brother, Zeb Smith.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m., and at other times, it will be at the Killette home.
