Betty Lou Basden Warren, 79, Dudley, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Kitty Askin Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Betty Lou was born in Wayne County on Sept. 19, 1935, to the late Sam and Bettie Price Basden.
She was married to the late Earl Stewart Warren who preceded her in death on May 3, 1991.
Betty Lou retired from Bell South after 38 years of service.
She was a member of Dudley Christian Church.
Betty Lou was a generous and gracious woman.
She will be remembered for the love and laughter that she shared during her well-lived life.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service celebrating her life at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Doug Dexter and the Rev. Michael Coppock officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Lancaster and husband, George, and Kim Warren and fiancé, Garry Higgins; grandsons, Joseph Warren Lancaster and James Stewart Lancaster; her brother, Bruce Basden and wife, Janice; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Basden and Jack Basden.
