Walter "Peter" Gardner Jr., 78, 118 Collier Road, Kinston, died Sunday.
Funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Gethsemane Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kinston. Burial will be at Old Mill Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Wayne County to the late Walter Gardner and Blanche Jackson Gardner.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters.
Visitation will be today noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home of Kinston.
