SGT. CLARENCE "BOONE" MCNEILL
Died Feb. 5, 1969
Sgt. Clarence L. "Boone" McNeill, Warsaw, a Vietnam veteran, was killed in action Feb. 5, 1969, when his plane was shot down in the jungle of Southeast Asia.
Sgt. McNeill was previous interred at Jefferson Barracks Missouri National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo., along with his nine other crewmembers. Sgt. McNeill is now being brought home for interment near his parents.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, in Devotional Gardens with full military honors.
Following the service, the family will receive friends at Warsaw Baptist Church in Powell Hall.
Sgt. McNeill is survived by siblings, Walker "Mac" McNeill and wife, Jean, Gen. Dan K. McNeill and wife, Maureen, and Barbara M. Miller and husband, Ronnie, and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
