Edna Fleming Bottoms, 83, Pikeville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Woodard Care in Goldsboro.
Edna was born in Wayne County Oct. 27, 1930, to the late James Roland Fleming Sr. and Ora Maybelle Bryan Fleming. She was married to the late Carl Bottoms.
Edna was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, in Pikeville Cemetery, with the Rev. Rose Hicks officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at the cemetery.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Cynthia L. Whitfield of Pikeville and Jane B. LaVoy of Denver; grandchildren, Jason Thomas Furcron, Jennifer L. Sawyer and husband, John, Michael Higgins and Della Higgins; and great-grandson, Harrison J. Sawyer.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue B. Wade, and brothers, J.R. Fleming Jr. and Howard Mahlon Fleming.
