Jean Casey Mozingo White, 82, died Sunday at the Brian Center.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William Cullen and Emma Anderson Casey, and was the wife of the late Emmett Mozingo.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and William Casey, and a sister, Nettie Mae Eason.
A service to celebrate her life was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
She is survived by a daughter Teresa M. Head and husband, Keith, of Goldsboro; a brother, Marshall Casey and his wife, Dean, of Smithfield; and special friends, Robert and Jan Settle, April Hill, Missy Carter, Pat Newkirk, Linda and David Benson, Grace Cruse and Henry Hamilton.
The family would also like to offer a special word of thanks to the care received by the staff of the Brian Center.
