Laura "Mother Bessie" Whitfield Jones, 62, 111 E. James St., Apt. E, LaGrange, died July 19 at Kinston Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in D. L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, with pastor Thelma Davis officiating.
She was born in Wayne County April 2, 1952, to the late Effie McCullen Whitfield and Tommy Whitfield.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 to 10:50 a.m. in Apostle D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home. Family members will assemble at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home of the funeral procession.
