EUNICE EVELYN GREENE

Mrs. Eunice Evelyn Greene, born Sept. 8, 1902, passed on to glory June 15, 2014, at home in Goldsboro, N.C.
She was 111 years old, and was a woman who loved the Lord and her family. "It is well with my soul" was a powerful phrase often shared by her.
A son, John A. Greene, preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Garland Greene (Melanie); a daughter, Thomasina Barnes; five grandchildren, Leslie Williams (Derryl), Robin Greene, David Greene, Tracy Douglas (Warren) and Michelle A. Brantley; three great-grandchildren, Risha Greene, Tiele Douglas and Chaz Douglas; great-great-grandson, Lennox Douglas; a sister, Nellie Sanders; and a host of relatives and friends.
Homegoing service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014, at noon at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 901 Harris St., Goldsboro, N.C. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Martin Luther King Boulevard.
A public viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
