PATRICIA H. BOWDEN
May 2, 1944-June 11, 2014
Patricia Ann Holmes Bowden, 70, known mostly as Pat, Summerlin's Crossroads community near Mount Olive, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, June 11, while being cared for at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.
She was retired from Southern Bank and Trust Co. in Mount Olive, where she was an assistant loan officer, mainly at the Park Avenue branch.
She worshipped at Brock's Chapel Church.
Services will be held Friday, June 13, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Justice officiating, followed by visitation. Burial will be in Pate Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14.
Friends and family are also being received at the Milton "Buddy" Holmes residence in Scott's Store community.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Joyce Ann Daniels of Faison and Patty Ann Murphy of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Patrick Daniels, Christopher Daniels and Shana Murphy; a great-grandchild, Addison; seven sisters and brothers, Milton "Buddy" Holmes, Katherine H. Craft, Raeford Holmes, Sherwood Holmes and Joey F. Holmes all of the Mount Olive area, Pam H. Swinson of Fayetteville and Wanda H. Davis of White Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. "Teeny" Bowden; her parents, Drifty and Minnie Lee Holmes; and three brothers, Randy, Wayne and Hoyt Lee Holmes.
