Ronald Edwood Hill, 81, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Mr. Hill was the son of the late Herman and Sadie Hill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Hill, and brothers, Haywood Hill and Morris Hill.
Mr. Hill was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kinston, and was a contract driver for the United States Postal Service.
He proudly served his country with the United States Army, serving during both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Anastasia Dmitriyevna Hill of the home; daughter, Patricia H. Marshburn and husband, Eddie, of Deep Run; sons, David E. Hill and wife, Irene, and Michael Hill and wife, Melissa all of Deep Run, Allen Hill of Shreveport, La., and Ronnie Hill and wife, Nannette, of Virginia; stepson, Paul Sviridov of Russia; 11 grandchildren; a stepgrandson; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Brown of Virginia and Ruth Ann Bland and husband, Marshall, of Kinston; and brother, James Aubrey Hill of New Bern.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jimmy Horne officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
