J.B. "Bigg" Wooten Jr., 58, 1801 N. George St., Goldsboro, departed his life May 1, 2014.
The celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. at New Greenleaf Church of Christ, 301 W. Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, N.C., with elder Thomasine Cowan. He will be laid to rest in Broadhurst Cemetery, Seven Springs, N.C.
There will be a visitation held Friday, May 9, 2014, from 1 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born March 7, 1956, in Wayne County, N.C., to Rebecca Jane Quinn Wooten and J.B. Wooten Sr.
He was a graduate of Goldsboro High School in 1975.
He leaves cherished memories to a son, Rolandus Montee Wooten of Goldsboro, N.C.; stepdaughter, Alnita Williams of Durham, N.C.; seven sisters, Geraldine Bowen of Blue Island, Ill., Evelyn Grimes of Atlanta, Ga., Wilma Kirk of Valdasta, Ga., Barbara Wooten Balitmore of Raleigh, N.C., Warnetta Wooten Beasley of Hampton, Va., Kana Wooten of Barstow, Fla., and Jalinda Wooten of Lakeland, Fla.; three brothers, Troy Quinn of Fayetteville, N.C., James Wooten of Durham, N.C., and Anthony Wooten of Goldsboro, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Le'Darian Wooten of Ayden, N.C., and Da'Zaiya Dixon of Dover, N.C.
Professional services are entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
Family will receive friends at 1902 E. Holly St., Goldsboro, N.C., where it will also assemble for the funeral procession.
