Anna Mary Raye, 92, 1446 Airport Road, Pikeville, peacefully passed from this life to eternal life Monday in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
She was born May 5, 1921, in Wayne County to Snowby and Etta Lane Sauls.
The homegoing service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Eureka.
Her full couch moss pink casket will be placed in a white ornate horse-drawn hearse for her journey to Eureka Cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her children, Etta Mary Brown, Linda Raye, Stirlene Williams, Jolet (Phillip) Reveron, Olivia Smith, Connie Barron, James E. (Sharon) Brown, Rex (Barbara) Raye, Stanley (Janice) Gaskins and Ronnie Lewis; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends during an inspirational wake at First Baptist Church in Eureka Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
