John William Persinger, 89, Middlesex, died at Hock Family Pavillion at Duke Hospice Center in Durham Sunday.
Graveside service will 1 p.m. Thursday at Persinger Family Cemetery in Kenly, with the Rev. Paul Tedder officiating.
Born in Hinton, W. Va., he was the son of the late James William Persinger and the late Lucinda Bragg. He was married to the late Geneva Meadows Persinger and the late Mary Shamblin Persinger.
He is survived by his two sons and four daughters.
Arrangements are by Minshew-Coley Funeral Home in Kenly.
