MOUNT OLIVE -- Theodore Emerson Driver, 70, known as Buck to all, passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 23, 2014, while being in the care of Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Buck was a longtime resident of Faison, and was a retired truck driver, having been employed for more than 25 years with Chas. F. Cates and Son Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Newton "Bill" and Annie Laura Precise Driver; a brother, Nathan Driver; and two sisters, Linda D. Autry and Ruby D. Davis.

His survivors include three daughters, Laurie Ann Owens of Fremont, Christina Driver of Faison and Tara D. Mobley and husband, Greg, of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Delaney Mobley, Aiden Mobley and Nash Martin; a sister, Scarlett D. Malpass and husband, Nelson, of Mount Olive; a brother, Willie Edward Driver and wife, Brenda, of Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and "Cooper," his pet and "four-legged son."

Services to remember Buck's life will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, and will be officiated by the Rev. Doug Bartlett and the Rev. Jeff Dail, and followed by visitation. A private burial will be held.

Family and friends are also being received at the Tara and Greg Mobley residence in Scott's Store community, with whom Buck had lived for the past few months.
