FAYETTEVILLE -- Mrs. Margery Evelyn Hyde, 87, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Margery was born in Richland Center, Wis., March 20, 1926, to the late Joseph and Geneva Barnhart Pliner.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Spencer.
She was a homemaker, and will be greatly missed.
Margery is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert P. Hyde of Fayette-ville; sons, Robert J. Hyde and wife, Jeanette, of Goldsboro, N.C., George David Hyde and wife, Dian, of Hope Mills, N.C., and Allen Lee Hyde and wife, Eugenia, of St. Pauls, N.C.; daughters, Mary Evelyn Johnson of Hope Mills, N.C., and Betty Anne Gillis and husband, Joseph, of Fayetteville; brothers, Darel Pliner, Wilmer Pliner and Robert Pliner all of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Galatia Presbyterian Church, 8800 Galatia Church Road, Fayetteville, N.C., 28304, with pastor Shuford White officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Galatia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in Galatia Church fellowship hall, and a reception will follow the service in Galatia Church fellowship hall.

Her husband, Robert P. Hyde, wishes to express loving gratitude to those who have shown kindness, appreciation during her recent years of sickness and her passing. Farewell, dear wife.
