ALMA C. BOWEN

Alma Campbell Bowen, 85, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Alma was born in Johnston County Feb. 21, 1928, to the late Charlie Campbell and Polly Mitchell Campbell. She was married to the late C. L. Bowen.
Alma worked for many years as a health care technician at O'Berry Center.
She was a member of May's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at May's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with pastor Jeff Daughtry and the Rev. Kelvin Coates officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday following the service at the church.
A private interment will be Monday in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Alma is survived by her children, Karen Bowen and Gary Bowen both of Dudley.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to May's Chapel Church, 3831 U.S. 117 Alternate, Dudley, N.C., 28333.
