JOYCE PRICE JOHNSON

Joyce Price Johnson, 69, Goldsboro, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
For many years, Joyce served as administrative assistant to Weil Enterprises, managing affordable housing properties in Goldsboro, Raleigh and Wilmington and a hotel property in Beaufort.
She was a former member of the Wayne County Social Services Board, the Wayne County Military Affairs Committee and the Goldsboro Planning Department.
Joyce is survived by her parents, Eugene and Gloria Price of the Sleepy Creek community; two sisters, Susan Johnson of Raleigh and Bonnie West of Charlotte; two brothers, Charles Price of Los Altos, Calif., and John Price of Cary; and her goddaughter, Sarah Wilson of Tucson, Ariz.
A service celebrating Joyce's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Carol Pierson officiating. Private interment will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
The family will greet friends Wednesday following the service in McChesney Hall at First Presbyterian Church.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions might be made to the Wayne Community College Foundation for the Joyce Price Johnson Scholarship Fund, 3000 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
